Student Information | PLEASE NOTE: This program is free to qualifying students!

  Our student base is comprised of military veterans (regular and reserve; all branches), emergency services personnel (Fire, Police, EMT, Medical), Corrections Canada, and Canada Border Services personnel that have developed mental/physical challenges (such as PTSD) during the course of their time in their chosen profession. If you do not fall into these categories you may still be able to join as a civilian volunteer, and therein, may be able to join in on instruction.

  To start, as a base, we will be providing beginner guitar lessons. If you do not have a guitar we will strive to provide one for you on a loaner basis. Lessons will be spread over a ten week period for thirty to forty five minutes each meeting, with homework between meetings. After completing the 10 week program students may be eligible to own their loaner guitar as resources and budgets are available. But the learning doesn't end there. Attending weekly meetings which will run for one and a half or more hours gives you an opportunity to jam with other members when not being instructed. We find that connecting with the group in this way can be very relaxing and generally alot of fun for all.

  A chapters range of instruction may vary, in that, some chapters will offer a variety of learning options beyond beginner guitar such as intermediate to advanced guitar lessons.

 Membership in this program is entirely voluntary and, if you sign up, you are not "locked in" to any kind of commitment. The program is meant to get you out with others that understand and all share the common goal of learning music.

  As our equipment and instructor base grows we plan to start providing instruction on a number of other musical instruments. See individual chapters (under the Contact link above) for what instruction is available.
